"Boo" Valley BPA Fun Night

The Blue Valley High School Business Professionals of American chapter held a pumpkin painting party on October 22 at Loberg Grocery in Olsburg. There were fourteen members present.

This has been an annual event where we decorate pumpkins to send to nursing homes, senior citizen centers, and other locations around our community. The pumpkin designs ranged from “Clifford” to cattle, or just plain old spooky faces. Loberg Grocery provided pizza for everyone to enjoy. It was a night of fun and laughter.

Fall Delegate Assembly

The Fall Delegate Assembly for the Blue Valley High School Business Professionals of America chapter was held at Kansas University in the Memorial Union on October 14. There were twenty-two members who attended. This is the first state event that takes place for the school year.

The members attended a variety of leadership workshops conducted by last year’s state officers along with a meeting to discuss this year’s events that would be taking place. This conference is also where candidates run for a state office. Members listened to their campaign speeches and visited with the candidates during the campaign rally. We had four voting delegates. Their duty was to determine the position that each newly elected officer would hold for this year. The group had a great time and can’t wait to see what the new year will bring.
