ALL PARENTS - Booster Club needs help with the 3 on 3 tournament on Saturday, March 13th. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and AfterProm is coming up soon. We run the concessions and gates and will need pop, hot dogs, buns, sloppy joe meat and workers!!! Please contact Vicki or Donica if you are willing to help. It takes a lot of people so please help out.

Parents & Students-- Just a reminder that the attendance policy in our handbook states that parents must notify the schools by 9:00 am if their student will be absent and state the nature of the absence. If not, the absence will be considered unexcused. The principal will have the final authority to determine whether individual absences will be excused or unexcused. Calling just to state the student will not be in will not be considered an excused absence.

Kansas Computerized Assessments. Give me a K! Give me a C! Give me an A! That's right, the Kansas Computerized Assessments are here and we will begin test the week after spring break. We will be testing grades 5-8, in reading and math, Grade 10 in reading and HS geometry students in math, as well as 7th grade and selected HS students will also be tested in science. The Math and Reading tests have 3 parts and the science test has two parts. We will provide a free breakfast for our students the days they test. Parents, please encourage your students to get plenty of rest on the nights leading up to these tests. It is important that everyone performs his or her very best! Borck Brothers in Manhattan (across from Panera Bread) would like to support our After Prom party by donating cash for every tuxedo rented for Prom. The earlier you rent the tux, the larger the donation. From now until April 3rd they will donate $5 for each tux rented and a check will be made out to Blue Valley High School to be used for the After Prom Party.

Creative Reflections Photography is offering a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets. There are three ways to enter. #1-Become a FAN of Creative Reflections on Facebook and one lucky FAN will win a free ticket. #2-Schedule an appt. for your senior pictures with Creative Reflections and you will be eligible for a chance to win a pair of floor seats. #3-Become a "Class of 2011" senior model or a future client of Creative Reflections and one person will win a pair of tickets. Freshmen Class students-- Please sign up for Drivers Ed on the sheet in the HS office window. Sign up by the end of the day today.

The BPA high school/adult 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be Saturday, April 10. There are entry forms outside the office. The deadline to enter is Saturday, April 3.

Great Society Singers will perform at the HS today from 1:00-1:45 pm. Everyone welcome!

Dinner Theater Reservations are now being taken for Friday March 26th, 6:00 prior to the school play "Lagooned". Steak & Shrimp, Baked Potato, Corn, Rolls, Side Salad, Cheesecake, and Fruit Plate. $12 for adults and $10 for a child 10 and under. This includes admittance to the play. High School Play "Lagooned" will be presented on Friday, March 26th and Saturday, March 27th at 7:00 pm both evenings. Dinner theater will be served on Friday night beginning at 6:00 pm and on Saturday night the senior class will be holding an ice cream social.

Winter Awards Night Banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 30th at 6:30 pm. Please bring a side dish to share. Serviceware and beverages will be provided.
