We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Officer to join our administrative team and support the financial and operational functions of our district.

Position Overview:

The Business Officer will assist the Superintendent of Schools in overseeing the financial and business operations of the district, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources. This role is crucial in maintaining the fiscal health of the district and supporting our mission to provide exceptional educational opportunities for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help in developing and managing the annual budget in collaboration with district leadership.

  • Monitor financial performance and prepare regular financial reports.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and policies.

  • Oversee payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

  • Coordinate with auditors and manage the annual audit process.

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accountability.

  • Manage district investments and cash flow.

  • Advise the Superintendent and School Board on financial matters.

  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a public school district or educational setting.

  • Experience and knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

  • Familiarity with state and federal funding regulations for public schools.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite and Aptifund accounting software.

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Family and Consumer Science Teacher to join our high school faculty on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FCS subjects, including nutrition, cooking, budgeting, family dynamics, and consumer education. This teacher will be responsible for creating engaging and relevant lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets state standards and school guidelines.

  • Teach various FCS courses such as nutrition, culinary arts, family relationships, child development, and financial literacy.
