As a new tradition at Blue Valley Middle School, students competed in Mr. Wizard's Olympics. They competed in a variety of activities on teams of 13-14 students which each consisted of a mixture of 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Activities included the following competitions: Balloon Relay Race, Pasta Tower, Gutter Ball, Name thatTune, Hula Dula, and Kick Ball. We hope they had fun building their teamwork and leadership skills in these competitions. Have a wonderful summer!!!

Eighth grade students demonstrated their Balloon Popper projects Monday, May 16th. They each did a fantastic job on their final science middle school project!! I am so proud of how this class has grown as individuals over the last four years. I will miss having each of these students in my class, but I can't wait to see all they accomplish in high school. My thanks go out to parents for supporting these students and their project creations, as well as to the student's themselves for their hard work on their projects and good sportsmanship in allowing me to take all these pictures! Go Rams!!

What a busy last week we have had at MES! Full of smiles and laughs with our MES Talent Show and Field Day last Friday and then we began this week with a trip to the Lazy Heart D Buffalo Ranch and the MES Save the World Day. We spent the morning doing community service around Olsburg. Sticks, limbs, and trash were all picked up and the students did a great job in taking pride in their community. The fun continues on Wednesday with a trip to the Astro 3 theater in Marysville for a movie and then pizza at Marysville City Park to reward the students for all their dedication to the Reading Counts Program. Bus will leave at 8:45 and return around 2:00 p.m. Last Day Of School will be on Thursday, May 19th with a 12:45 dismissal.
