
Mr. Holmes' 7th grade learned about the difficulty of acquiring food for the earliest groups of people that came to Kansas. Students were given a few chances to throw the Atlatl, a weapon used by Native Indians, at the target and were awarded jerky if contact was made!




Bv middle school started their season tonight at Clifton-Clyde. A and B girls lost both matches in vb and fb boys lost 60-12. Next weeks games will be at Valley Heights.

Please come out to the season opening HS football game tomorrow night, Sept. 6th! Let’s pack the crowd with CAMO in support of our Rams! Kick off is at 7:00pm!

This is principal Marion Mazouch with this announcement. Tomorrow Wednesday August 28 high school students 9-12 will be dismissed at 1:53pm so all HS staff can be in a meeting on School Improvement. If any students need to ride bus at 3:30 then they will stay in school and be with a substitute. MS students grade 5-8 will keep normal class schedule and practice after school. HS will practice in morning due to dismissal at 1:53. Thank you.

FCCLA attended the Take AIM conference on August 25-26 in Manhattan. Dakota, Alyssa, Linzy, Morgan, Brianna, and Ms. Luhman. They had a great time and learned a lot.


It has been a great first full week at BV HS/MS! Just a reminder that Monday August 26 is Blue Valley’s Middle school and High school Open House from 5 to 6:30pm. Our first day at Blue Valley ms/ Hs was very successful. This is a reminder to all 5-12 students that tomorrow all students and staff will be attending Fort Riley for team building activities from 8:30 to 3:15. Students need to wear comfortable clothes and their footwear needs to be tennis shoes. No sandals or any open toe footwear, but shorts are ok. Sack lunches will be provided. School supplies donated by Alert Church will be available for pick up at the district office during enrollment on July 29th & 30th. Supplies will be available for PreK-12 students. Reams of paper for every student are also being donated and will be given directly to the school.

REMINDER: All-District Enrollment will be at the district office on July 29 from 4-7pm and July 30 from 7-11am. Check out the new online enrollment option to enroll from home! Info can be found under Parents & Students on the school website.
