6th graders are trying to find a perfect place to relocate in Ancient Greece. Before the move they have to ask the Oracle of Delphi for permission to move. Can they convince the Oracle to allow them to move?

FCCLA hosted a food drive before spring break. 5-12 grades collected over 700 pounds of food. Some went to Randolph Pride and the rest went to the Flinthills Breadbasket. Great Job Rams!!!

5th Grade band celebrated St. Patrick's Day this week by learning about instruments from Ireland and by coloring a worksheet where they had to know the rhythmic notes and how many beats each note equals.

Blue Valley High School Drama Department will be performing Burton Bumgarner's "Hurry Up and Wait!" on Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12. Due to COVID restrictions, the public cannot attend the performances in person. World Food Prize dignitary, Taylor Belle Matheny, of Kansas State University shares her presentation on the many opportunities available to students who get involved in the World Food Prize. She then stayed as the English II Hunger Fighters presented their poster presentations. What a Day!!


We are continuing putting our feet in the shoes of Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow by trying to decipher the mysterious instructions.





8th hour is a busy time. Culinary Arts class made chicken noodle soup. Baking and Pastry class made brownies.




Today we ended our FCCLA food drive service project. Thank you to all donated. You as a student body middle school to high school did an awesome job. They blocked 7 teachers doors. We hope you enjoy your free time tomorrow or Thursday.





8th hour Fashion Studio and Apparel 2 sewing and crocheting while enjoying a movie.



FYI. The K-9 drug dogs made a search today at 10am in BVHS parking lot, classrooms and gym lockers. The dogs also searched classrooms in the MS. Thank you students and staff for your cooperation.

The Blue Valley English I class has been busy reading the novel "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee and learning about racism and social classes in the 1930's American South. To wrap up the unit they have earned the opportunity to watch the award wining movie with Gregory Peck! Added bonus... black and white movies aren't bad at all!
