UPDATE FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE
Hello McCormick Families! As incredible as it sounds, we are close to finishing up the 3rd quarter of school. As we start getting into warmer weather, I wanted to remind everyone that each child should bring a resealable water bottle to school with them each day. The office has been providing water bottles to students as needed, but it has gotten out of control. We have provided a bottle refilling station for student use anytime they need water. We are also working to equip the other water fountain with the same set up to reduce congestion. As the kiddos leave in the morning please remind them to grab their water bottles. Thank you for all you do to make MES a great place to learn and grow.
The second graders got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather with a fun nature scavenger hunt!

A sunny day calls for reading outside!

A three day week was a perfect chance to introduce the kids to a new favorite book, “The Snow Globe Family.” We had a chance to do many fun activities, and even put ourselves in a snow globe. Everyone enjoy a warmer weekend!

Happy 100th day of school!
The second graders read a book this week called “Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch”. Mr. Hatch’s life is changed by the gift of kindness and the power of love and friendship. These second graders have hearts of gold and wanted to share love and friendship to each person in our school! They made a heart for every student, teacher and staff and wrote the same message Mr. Hatch received, “Somebody Loves You!”

FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT 2-10-2021
Hello Blue Valley families,
I hope everyone is staying warm. We recently completed a survey of leadership in USD 384. I wanted to share the results with you. The staff had the opportunity to rate the building level leadership as well as district level leadership. A survey was also sent to the community to rate district level leadership. After the results were compiled, I reviewed the data and shared it with the Board of Education. I am pleased with the results. There is always room to improve and get better. The feedback we received will be used to make adjustments and get better. Overall the Middle/High School Leadership survey had 6 responses with an average leadership rating of 4.25 out of a possible 5. The Elementary School Leadership survey had 8 responses with an average leadership rating of 4.28 out of a possible 5. The District Level Leadership survey completed by the staff had 23 responses. The ratings were Excellent, Good, Needs Improvement and Unacceptable. The survey results were 28.96% Excellent, 64.25%, Good 6.75% Needs Improvement and 0 Unacceptable. The District Level Leadership survey completed by the community had 44 responses. The survey results were 35.9% Excellent, 50% Good, 13.64% Needs Improvement and 0.46% Unacceptable. (The link for the results is at the bottom of this message.) As you see we are doing pretty well with areas that need improvement. This year has been challenging on many levels. I feel very confident as we move forward, we will get better and make Blue Valley USD 384 the best it can be. Thank you all for your support this year. IT’S A GOOD DAY TO BE A RAM!!
