That's a wrap for Powerlifting 2025. Unfortunately, we weren't able to have our whole team with us for various reasons, but that didn't stop Ben Klocke from having a great day.
Ben was our lone competitor today at KEMFA (Kansas Eight Man Football Association) State Powerlifting representing Blue Valley, and he didn't disappoint.
He got 2nd in Squat and a new PR while squatting 405 lbs. He was only 5 lbs away from 1st place.
He got 5th in Bench and was really close to a new PR on his final lift going for 245 lbs.
Ben also got a new PR in Clean while not being 100% with back issues, getting 185 lbs.
He also finished 6th overall out of 17 lifters in his weight class.
I couldn't be prouder of Ben's work ethic and passion for this sport. Only being a sophomore, he has a bright future ahead of him, and I look forward to him leading the BV Powerlifters in the coming years.
Thank you to Brayden Innes and Trevor Clark for leading the way this year. Good luck in all you do in the future as you graduate Blue Valley High School and head out to the world to make us proud.
