Days One and Two are complete at FCCLA Nationals in Seattle. Day One was filled with flying to Seattle. Haylee enjoyed her first flight. We rode the rail to our hotel and enjoyed a meal at the Cheesecake Factory. Finally, we attended the opening session. Day two was filled with judging and competing. Then, we ate at Johnny Rockets.

Good morning parents, The following email was sent to our current 3rd grade families on April 26th. It has come to our attention that some families may not have received this information, so we are sending it out to everyone. Thank you. Dear Parents, We are excited to inform you that the school board has approved the move of the 4th-grade class to the middle school for the 2024-2025 school year as part of an intermediate wing of the elementary school. This decision comes after thorough exploration and planning meetings involving teachers, two community/parent meetings, and a board work session. The move is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the educational experience for our students. A benefit of this transition will be to provide new opportunities for 4th and 5th grade classroom collaboration. We understand that change can be unsettling, but please be assured that we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for both students and parents. We will provide you with all the necessary information throughout this process. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we work together to provide the best possible education for our students. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Combest either via email (ccombest@usd384.org) or phone (785.468.3551) or you can contact Mr. Boley at the district office. Sincerely, Caitlin Combest McCormick Elementary Principal USD #384 Blue Valley

Good evening, Olsburg has been without power since around 4:45pm and is still without power. We have been in contact with Evergy, but with the tornado in Westmoreland, they are unable to give us a time when the power might be back on. We will continue to monitor the situation and will let everyone know by 6:00am if we are able to have school at McCormick Elementary for grades k-4 on Wednesday, May 1st. Thank you, Caitlin Combest, McCormick Principal
