Last week on Oct. 12 culinary essentials students completed a time and temperature activity. They took three temperature checks while preparing three hamburgers. They cooked one to 120F, one at 140F and the last at 165F. Once at those temperatures, students then cut into them to see what the hamburger looks like on the inside. Great way to see rare, medium, and done.

This week in Culinary Essential we experienced how important hand washing is. Students rubbed a drop of glo germ on their hands then used a black light to show where it ended up on their hands. Then they washed their hands to see if they could get it off. It did take a few of them a few tries at washing their hands.

On Saturday, October 16th we have the opportunity to host the TVL VB Tournament. We are in need of clock keepers throughout the day. No experience needed! This is a great opportunity to watch some great volleyball and support the Lady Rams. Please click on the link below if you are able to help out. I will try to keep your waters cold and popcorn topped off while helping. There will also be a drawing for (2) $25 gift cards, (1) to Coco Bolo's and the other is to El Tapitio for anyone that signs up for two games!
Thanks,
Coach Schreiber

Today was a great day in FCCLA. I had the privilege to take 7 BV FCCLA members to our District D FCCLA Fall Conference. Members attended several workshops and listened to Dustin Gaylon about how we can make changes it is up to us whether it is positive or negative. I so enjoyed these kids they were a lot of fun, looking forward to the next event.
